My story

Hey people of Sedona, I’m Gemstone or Gemmy for short and a two-year-old mixed breed cutie who has a compact pretty body, short hair, engaging thoughtful eyes and I am ready to be rescued. I am a playful puppy, happy, enjoy being outside, love playing fetch, cuddling, getting rubs, and my smile will light up your heart. I walk well on a leash and am looking to form a love connection with a kind and soft family to call my very own.I was a diamond in the rough when I arrived at the shelter just before New Year’s day as a stray. I have exceptional qualities that weren’t easily apparent since I was little and I didn’t remember much about where I lived. But I do remember being scared trying to figure out life on my own and staying clear of the cars, coyotes, and finding food. I have had months to decompress at the shelter and understand that people are here to guide me.If you have a mellow dog at home that could be a good guide and life buddy for me, bring them along for our `meet and greet`. I would do best in a patient home that understands my need to go slow and at my own pace where my humans are consistent and predictable. You could help me develop into an emerald, sapphire or princess cut diamond in no time!I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and house broken.Come and meet this gem of a pup so you can start to teach me tricks and shower me with belly rubs.
