My story

I`m Thor a fit and gorgeous 107 pound almost 3-year-old playful, happy, curious, and fun Great Pyrenees mix pup. I might as well be named Sweetie as I am funny and smart too, know ‘sit, shake and stay’ and I’m learning even more manners. Part of me feels like a lap dog despite my size because I have the playfulness and heart of a puppy. I am always ready to lean in for a cuddle or a sloppy kiss once I know you. I love belly rubs and squeaky toys. I am people selective but know right away when I feel safe and trust someone. I will easily develop even more skills with consistent coaching from a kind and patient coach. I dream of one day living somewhere with room to roam and a family that can provide consistent care, trusting interactions and a sense of purpose. Since I am still a young dog, I can be strong on a leash and need someone who can teach me a bit more about what is expected of me. I will be worth the effort and will bring happiness, joy, love, and laughter into your home.I am especially good at making the people around me smile! I want someone to take me home who will socialize with me, provide daily exercise, and mental stimulation as these activities will benefit both of us. I am a most handsome boy. My breed generally shows patience and calmness, and I do well with dogs smaller than me. As you can see, I have had fun playing with a few dogs here at the shelter, but you’ll want to chat with my care team about a ‘meet and greet’ with a dog you already have at home.
