My story

One overlooked terrier, one chance, one forever home…. that’s my dream! I’m Millie, a gorgeous very cool looking female 5-year-old terrier mix and English Staffy bundle of joy who has been at the shelter for over a year. I have the biggest and happiest spirit a dog can have along with stunning eyes and ears that bounce freely when I run and play, we will turn heads wherever we go. I am eager to please my people, smart, friendly, curious, and love walking. I am a good leash walker and really enjoy being outside. I am shy at first but live to be with people. I love to play and my eyes sparkle just before I break into fun zoomies. Toys, toys and more toys, I like playing with toys of all kinds and sizes! My high energy comes in small, short bursts and after a bit of fun I love to have my floppy ears scratched as it’s very soothing. I have been at the shelter for too long and yearn to feel ease, fresh air and long for the life I had before. I would do best in a child-free home with no other animals and need to be the only dog in your home as I have had little to no experience living with another dog. I respond well to training and staff at the shelter are working on my sit, stay, and attention. My rescuer needs to help me focus on developing everyday doggie skills and perhaps a roll over trick. With love, patience, trust, and training I will joyfully relax in my new home with you. I hope you have a yard where I can stretch my legs and play. I am a fast learner and enjoy pleasing humans.
