My story

This goofy guy is Yuri – a 2 1/2-year-old, 65lb. bundle of fun! Yuri is a friendly dog who walks great on a leash, and was described as a “big cat” in his foster home – he loves being with his people, but isn’t clingy 😊 Yuri is easily re-directed with food and has excellent house manners, always alerting when he needs to go out. He has some basic commands down as well! When it comes to kids, Yuri forgets how big he is and can get a bit rowdy. Yuri has been around other dogs, but if you already have a canine in your life, we would recommend meeting before adopting! Let us know if you’re ready for some Yuri in your life! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
