My story

Meet Keith, a handsome tan German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his ears! This sweet guy is eager to please and already knows a few tricks — he can sit and lay down like a pro. Keith is still working on his house training and learning to walk nicely on a leash, so he’ll need a little patience and consistency as he continues to learn. We’re unsure how Keith does with kids, or other dogs, so if you have a canine friend at home, we require a dog meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. With his playful spirit and loving nature, Keith is ready to find a family who will give him the guidance and affection he deserves. Could he be the perfect companion for you? While walking Keith through our adoptable cat rooms, he seemed to do well with them. If you have a feline friend at home, please allow for slow and thoughtful introductions. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
