My story

Lidia | 1 year old | 25 lbs | Whippet mix | GTA Meet Lidia, the most smiley and easygoing girl who is truly just happy to be here! Lidia is an incredible companion whose only demand is to be loved. She doesn't beg for food, chew things she shouldn't, guard resources, or make a fuss about going into her crate. She's great about being handled, sleeps peacefully while you work, and is equally up for walks or naps, depending on the flow of the day. She also walks beautifully on leash. Lidia is currently living in a condo in the city, and is adjusting well to the sights and sounds of big city living. We think she'd do well in a busy or quieter environment, house or condo, single person household or family household. This girl is adaptable! Within 24 hours of her arrival, she had adjusted to the routines and rhythms of her foster home, and is happy to go with the flow. In fact, within 25 minutes of arriving at her foster home, she crawled into her foster mom's lap and fell asleep. She's very loving and gentle, and loves to be cuddled and held. She seems grateful to have landed in a place where lots of love is available to her, and we know she'll be so happy to find her loving forever home. Lidia has lived with cats and dogs. She is a bit skeptical of other dogs but fine with a slow introduction. She'd do well as a second dog, but it's certainly not a requirement. She is a people person, and seems to draw the most comfort and contentment from her relationships with her humans. For this reason, she'd love a home where someone is around a fair bit of the time. She wasn't made for the solitary life! Lidia is a small dog who walks well on leash. She's housetrained, gentle, curious, and very loving. As her fosters say, whoever adopts her will be so fortunate.
