My story

Dog Name: Dewey Breed: Heinz 57 and a mystery as to whether he will be big or small! Sex: male Age: 6 1/2 weeks Weight: 4 pounds Medical Needs: Neuter must be completed by end of October 2025 and is scheduled by Grass Roots Rescue. Appointments can be requested for Georgetown, Dover, Wilmington, or Newark. We will request the appointment at the location most convenient for the adopter. Foster to adopt families must understand we are given dates and whatever date their dog is assigned by the clinic, is the date they are required to keep. Because the neuter is still pending, foster to adopt families must live within an hour of the locations listed above, and must be willing to travel there for the appointment. A required $75.00 check must be submitted by the adopter, which Grass Roots Rescue will hold and then destroy once the neuter is verified. Rabies vaccine is due at appropriate age. Housebroken: no Crate trained: no Good in the car: yes, so far he travels in a crate with his siblings. Good on a leash: not yet Energy level: puppy Need a fenced in yard: unknown Dog Friendly: yes If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Hasnt paid any attention to the cat in his foster home Kid Friendly: I’m sure he will be with appropriate aged children If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any as long as supervised. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know anout them? This little man doesn’t make much fuss but he loves to adventure and explore his surroundings. He is a playful little guy but will take advantage of any time he can spend in a lap to snuggle. Dewey is very little so he can easily get underfoot.
