ABOUT BRUCE GROOT! Meet Bruce Groot, our handsome five-year-old grey boy! This sweetie came to HAP after his owner was moving and could not take him. While this is a big change for any cat, Bruce Groot took it all in stride! Bruce Groot is a super sweet boy, who loves attention! He enjoys being pet and cuddled, though he will usually use snuggle time to climb onto someone's back and lounge there! Bruce Groot has been banned from catnip, as he tried to fight the cat picture we have up on the wall! *Bruce Groot has a grade 2 heart murmur. He is not currently on any medication for this, but as he gets older, he may need to be. We recommend yearly vet visits to monitor his heart. The vet may recommend he be seen by a cardiologist. While heart murmurs are serious, cats with them typically live long and happy lives. **Bruce Groot does okay with other cats, but doesn't prefer them, and we don't know how he'd do with dogs. We think he'd do well with older children. ***If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
