My story

Dog Name: Quint Breed: Shepherd mix Sex: Male Age: 3 Weight: 75lbs Medical Needs: HW recheck in August Housebroken: Yes Crate trained: Yes Good in the car: Yes Good on a leash: He's learned well and listens, but a prong is recommended until he figures it out Energy level: Medium; he loves to run and play just as much as he loves to cuddle up against you Need a fenced in yard: No Dog Friendly: Yes, but there MUST be a 2-week shutdown period and a gradual integration. He does best with dogs that are not overly dominant, and while he accepts corrections, it's still best to give him adequate time to adjust and become comfortable. Once he's comfortable, he's a playful goof. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No, he'd be perfectly happy as an only dog. Cat Friendly? Yes, he's learned to respect them and their space. Dog-savvy cats are recommended. Kid Friendly: Yes If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with proper supervision. Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Quint is a bundle of love wrapped up in no little amount of silliness. When he gets excited, his zoomies are a thing to behold - he ends up looking like a kangaroo with the way that he runs and romps around. On the flip side, he's so sweet about how he leans into people for cuddles, and he's got no qualms about making himself look as pitiful as possible so that everyone pays attention to him. This handsome guy needs a home that will let him get the exercise he needs, but will never skimp on the snuggles and affection. Quint has come a long way since leaving the pasture he was found in - he's changed tremendously from the anxiety-ridden dog that came off the transport bus. His ideal family would be one who loves adventures as much as he does, whether it's a trip to your local pet store or a hike through the woods. No matter what, wherever you go, Quint will follow you without fail, just happy to be included. Foster’s Location: Frederica, DE Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app) ##2213944##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Quint, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
