My story

Meet Bella, a 6-month-old mixed breed sweetheart with a love for gardening and baseball! Originally from the South, Bella was adopted but had to be returned through no fault of her own—her adopter’s health took a turn, and they could no longer care for her. Bella is a happy, curious puppy who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or planting flowers in the yard, she’s your little shadow—though she may try to "help" dig a few holes while you work. Her previous home said she loved watching Red Sox games and was always down to chill with the game on in the background. She’s still learning the ropes when it comes to house training and is working on curbing her mouthy puppy habits, so she’ll need a home that’s ready to continue her training with patience and positive reinforcement. She gets a bit nervous during long car rides, but she’s making progress. Bella enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and has done well with teens and up. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who’s equal parts playful and sweet, Bella might be your girl. If you're ready to adopt now: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
