My story

Are you looking for a real "people" cat? How about a guy who gets A+ in the cuddle category? Then Willy is your boy! He is also a great conversationalist and will tell you all about his day, waiting for you to pick him up and soaking in all the pets he can get (although he is touchy about his tootsies). He's sweet, friendly and loves to be in the limelight. Why not? He's quite the handsome dude! Willy comes with a touch of feistiness but his affectionate nature more than makes up for it. He has lived with children in the past and has done well. However, he likes claiming his territory big time and needs to be your only feline friend. Willy's favorite things to do is playing with a wide assortment of toys (time for you to stock up) and, of course, a lip-smacking good meal. Need a cuddle? Come visit Willy! Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
