My story

Dog Name: Puck Breed: Lab mix Sex: Male Age: 1 yr Weight: 45lbs Medical Needs: None Housebroken: He has gotten much better! Still a work in progress but accidents are Farther and fewer by far. Crate trained: Hates it. Let's it be known. Will need a strong crate. I think life behind a chain link fence gave him an adversion to being crated. He sleeps in it fine as long as you are in the room. He will go in and lay in it with no issues with the door open but hates being confined in one. So I'm still working on it. Good in the car: He's only ridden while crated, but there were no complaints. Good on a leash: He still needs a little work. Energy level: Puck feeds off energy and follows the pack. So if the house is in high energy mode so is he but when it's calm and quiet so is he. He does enjoy a good play session multiple times throughout the day other than that he enjoys being petted and loved on and laying beside you or cuddling with his doggy friends Need a fenced in yard: He will do fine with leash walks. He has a fenced yard at the foster house and enjoys the freedom to run and explore but with proper exercise and walks he would be ok without a fenced yard. Dog Friendly: Yes. He loves playing and running around the yard with the dogs and cuddling up with them to sleep If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? He does like to play and another dog that likes to play would be beneficial for getting the puppy energy out. Cat Friendly? Unknown, he isn't sure what to think about the cats but he is definitely curious. He has seen them and sniffed them but the cats weren't having him and hissed at him and he ran away. I think with dog savvy/friendly cats he would be fine with proper introduction Kid Friendly: Yes, he lights up when he sees my 8 yrs old granddaughter If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? any age with proper supervision. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Puck came from Georgia and lived in some pretty sad conditions, probably spent his whole life caged up outside and he has a few scars to show for it but that's in the past, and he is free and never looking back all while enjoying all of life's finer things now, like freedom to run and toys to chew and treats to enjoy and life indoors. He is still very much a puppy but also such a lover. He looks at you with those soulful eyes and you can't help but to love him. He also isn't a big guy and is fully grown so he is the perfect size to curl up next to you and not take up much room.
