My story

ABOUT ALVARADO Alvarado was recently surrendered to us along with his brother, Harper, after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Both boys are on the shy side and are still adjusting to their new life in the free-roaming cat room here at HAP. Alvarado is the more reserved of the two and remains a bit hesitant around humans. However, he’s shown progress with a slow, gentle approach, and a few tasty treats! With some extra TLC, we believe he’ll come out of his shell and show off the playful, mischievous side we know is in there. While we haven’t seen him play much just yet, Alvarado has been very tolerant of the other cats in the room. With time and patience, we think he’ll do well in a home with feline companions. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
