Noogie is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Noogie is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently taking medication for anxiety support - Recovering from a successful TPLO surgery - Heartworm positive and on activity restriction. Noogie is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. You can learn more about heartworm treatment on our resource page - https://www.onetail.org/heartworm/ More about Noogie: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: No, Noogie has done best with being left to roam free rather than crated or confined to a room when home alone. He's now comfortable for up to 6 hours alone with a companion dog and the support of anxiety medication. He will do best with an adopter who is home more often than not. Leash walking: Doing well! Dog social: Yes, he lives with a resident dog in his foster home and has been doing well. He has seemed most comfortable with calm, respectful dog pals and has shown some mild resource guarding behaviors, for which management is needed. Cat social: Yes, he lives with cats in his foster home and has been doing great with them! Kid friendly: He has done well in brief interactions with kids on walks Noogie likes: - Spending time with his person! - Napping in the sun with his cat and dog pals - Going for car rides, and helping you run your errands Noogie is the definition of a gentle giant. He loves napping, cuddling, and being with his people. He would love a big fur family of cats and dogs. He will sometimes guard his treats, toys, beds, and people from other dogs. He should be fed separately, and management will be needed if in a home with another dog. He has struggled with anxiety when home alone, particularly when confined, and has done best with the help of medication and a dog pal to He's otherwise a calm, quiet, and all-around great and majestic boy!
