My story

Meet Jojen. This baby has been through a lot in his life. He came to us with a rectal prolapse - when we saw his picture and the plea to get him to a vet - we stepped up and did this. He went to a vet who treated the prolapse and home he came. He prolapsed again (commonly happens) and back he went to the vet who fixed it again. After a short time, we did a fecal pcr and found some infection - treated that. Well, one more time, he prolapsed - went to a different vet who fixed it and it has been well over a year since then. We think this vet did a good job and did something that perhaps the first vet missed. Anyways, he's been back to that vet and she says it should not happen again at this point in time - he's good! So, poor thing, he aged a couple years since all of that and is now approximately 11 years old. He still has life and love to give though and we are not giving up on him finding a true forever home for the rest of his days. More on where Jojen came from: We investigated his chip a bit and while owner who had him neutered could not be contacted (basically abandoned him at some point), we were able to determine his approximate age and that he had at one point been a pet kitty in someone's home. Since we knew the person who asked for help with him for the prolapse, we knew that he had been taken care of as part of a cat colony for a couple of years. So, this little Jojen found a kind person near where he had lived as a housecat and she fed him outside along with other cats. So, here we are. Jojen is a sweet 11 year old boy. He's small for a boy cat. - pretty little actually - and that's pretty darn cute. He is quite shy and timid at first but if you give him a chance, he does warms up. With his fosters, he can be picked up, petted - he does elevator butt and purrs. He enjoys the gentle pets he's offered - rubs his head around in enjoyment - leans into chin rubs. We think that with a kind and patient person, Jojen could develop and nice and loving relationship. He's a sweet and gentle cat. That said, a quiet home with one or two adults would give him his best chance. He's fine with other cats - Jojen is not the least bit aggressive and would like the company of other feline friends. He would also be fine as an only cat. No dogs in the home is, again, what we think would be best. It's a tall order for this shy senior grey tiger stripped tabby boy. Jojen would be so grateful and appreciative of a forever home. -you know, he's the kind of cat you can tell is thankful for everything you do for him and the forever home you provide. Jojen would love a soft cat bed, a window to look out, a lap to sit on from time to time, a hooman to sleep with and to meow to - esp. for his wet food breakfast. Cat tree is a bonus! All around nice kitty. Mellow. Neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, negative fecal and monthly flea preventative. Current on rabies and FVRCP vaccines.
