My story

Benzei's story is one that is hard to understand, especially when you meet the incredibly loving dog he is today. Benzei was surrendered to the shelter in March 2025 at only a few months old. The person he knew, cared for, and trusted dropped him off at the shelter-a place that can be loud, lonely, and scary for a young puppy who had barely begun experiencing the world. He was just a baby when his entire world changed. But somehow, through all of that, Benzei has held onto his sweet and loving nature. Despite being let down by the person he trusted, Benzei is incredibly loving with people and dogs alike. He is friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with those around him. He also seems to be perfectly unfazed by cats he has encountered outdoors at the shelter. Of course, proper introductions are always important, but his interactions so far have been wonderfully calm. Benzei should have been spending his puppyhood learning what it means to be loved, feeling safe in a home, and growing up surrounded by people who would never let him down. Instead, he has spent that time waiting in a shelter. And yet, he still loves. Now it's his turn to be chosen. Benzei deserves a family who will make a lifelong commitment to him-someone who will show him that home means safety, love, and never being abandoned again. He was only a few months old when he lost the home he knew. Now he's waiting for someone to give him the forever home he deserved from the very beginning.
