He is kenneled when left alone and thrives with routine. Like many dogs adjusting to a new space, he will need patience and gentle guidance at first, but he truly wants to do the right thing.Crate Trained: YesEnergy Level: Low/Medium. King enjoys playful romps with his siblings and foster friends, then happily settles in for quiet cuddle time. Hes a wonderful balance of fun and calm. Can be handled/touched: Yes. He may start off a little shy, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and trusting nature shines through.Barker: Not a lotFlight Risk: No, but he is nervous in new situations and will need careful supervision until he feels secure.Food Aggressive: Not observed. King is nervous on leash and will benefit from slow, positive exposure and encouragement.Rides well in car: Yes. He rides calmly in a crate and does very well during car trips.Destructive: NoNeeds Home with Yard: Yes. King is accustomed to a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and play. He is not yet fully confident on leash, so a secure yard is important for his comfort and safety.Needs Home with another Dog: Yes. King thrives with canine companionship. He plays happily with his siblings and foster siblings, and another friendly dog in the home would help boost his confidence. Can live in Apartment: NoFoster Insights/Backstory: Kings story began when he and his littermates were just tiny six-week-old puppies, surviving a very rough start to life. When help finally arrived, they were terrified, hiding and unsure of humans. It took two full days of patience, kindness, and determination for a foster to earn their trust and bring them to safety. King spent the next couple of months learning what it meant to be cared for, discovering full bowls, soft beds, and gentle hands. As he grew, his adventurous spirit kicked in, and he became a talented little escape artist, making it clear he needed a safer place to continue his journey. Today, King is a sweet, sensitive soul with a heart full of love. Hes still learning that the world isnt such a scary place, but with a calm, understanding home and a confident canine friend by his side, he blossoms into an affectionate, loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart.
