My story

Hi there, I'm Lo!   My favorite thing to do is... is getting head and butt scratches! I’ll happily flop over, show you my belly, and give you a few gentle love bites to let you know I’m really enjoying the attention. I also LOVE being brushed which is a good thing, because I have thick, luxurious fur that deserves to be admired.   What makes me special is... I had a rough start in life, but you’d never know it now! When I first came to my foster mom’s home, I was a new mom caring for my babies while also dealing with painful dental issues. It took some time, patience, and medical care to get me feeling better, but once I was finally out of pain, something amazing happened, I came out of my shell and discovered just how much I LOVE people! Now, I love being petted, curling up in a cozy spot on the bed, and soaking up all the love I can get. I’m even slowly discovering that toys can be pretty fun! I’ve come such a long way, and my foster mom says I’m a completely different cat from the one who first arrived. All I need now is a forever home where I can continue to feel safe, loved and cared for.   I want my new owner to know... Please be patient with me when I first come home. It will take me some time to feel comfortable in a new environment. My time outside taught me to be fearful and stay on guard, so I may need a little while to understand that I’m safe. But once I feel secure and know I’m loved, you’ll see my true personality come out and I’ll become the most affectionate, loving girl. I’m also still learning how to feel comfortable around other cats. I can be pretty unsure of them and may do some grandstanding and growling when I’m feeling threatened. Because of this, I’d probably be happiest as your one and only cat. That said, I have done well with a very relaxed cat who doesn’t react to my warnings, so living with another cat could potentially work with the right personality and slow, proper introductions. I’ve also had some dental troubles and had most of my teeth removed. Don’t worry it doesn't slow me down! I still love mealtime and happily eat both crunchy and wet food. My foster mom adds a little water to my dry food to make it softer and easier for me to enjoy. Because of my rough start, I’ll need regular yearly vet visits to make sure I stay healthy and continue feeling my best. I’ve already come such a long way, and with a little patience, love, and care, I’m ready to become someone’s very special girl.   When I am feeling playful I like to.. (favorite toys) carry my favorite stuffy around in my mouth while proudly meowing about it! I also love my cardboard scratchers and one of my favorites doubles as my personal nap spot. I’m still learning about all the other toys out there and discovering just how much fun playtime can be. And lately, I’ve started doing zoomies around the house! My foster mom had no idea I could run so fast.   Where do I sleep? I currently love sleeping on the floor or curling up on my favorite cardboard scratcher, but I’ve recently discovered just how wonderful a cozy bed can be. Give me a warm, soft blanket and I’m a very happy girl. I’m still discovering all the comforts of indoor life and my foster mom thinks I have a cuddly side just waiting to come out with my forever family.   I am good with: Cats   I am NOT good with: Dogs   It is unknown if I am good with: Kids   By nature I am: Very Shy, Quiet, Affectionate, I like to be held September 12, 2026, 12:00 pm
