My story

When Curly Sue first arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated, heartworm positive, and understandably unsure of the world around her. Despite everything she had been through, she never stopped wanting to love. Since entering her foster home, Curly Sue has been discovering all the little joys of life that many dogs take for granted. Soft dog beds, cuddling on the couch, playing in joyful puppy piles, and simply being part of a family have all been brand new experiences for her. Watching her realize how wonderful life can be has been nothing short of amazing. Curly Sue loves to play with other dogs before curling up beside her favorite people for snuggles. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, even her foster family's Maltese, and she absolutely soaks up every bit of human attention she can get. One of Curly Sue's most endearing features is her unique little tail. She can't wag it quite like most dogs can, but when she tries, it's impossible not to smile. Those tiny tail wiggles say everything her heart wants to express. Curly Sue is also a true survivor. She faced a serious battle with heartworms, but thanks to prompt treatment and lots of love, she has made an incredible recovery. Now all that's left is to find the family she's been waiting for. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who will cherish every cuddle, every nap, and every moment by your side, Curly Sue is ready to make your house feel like home.
