My story

Meet Sherlock! At 5 years old and just 12 pounds, Sherlock is the kind of dog everyone falls in love with. He has an incredible personality and fits seamlessly into just about any adventure. Whether it's running errands, camping, spending the day on the boat, or simply relaxing at home, Sherlock is happiest by your side and acts like he's been part of the family forever. He's fully house-trained, doesn't need a crate, and has wonderful manners, making him an easy companion for almost any home. If you're looking for a loyal, adaptable best friend with a big heart packed into a little body, Sherlock is ready to be your perfect sidekick. Neck size (for collar): 12 inches Height (from top of head): 11 inches Length (from nose to base of tail): 18 inches Crate size recommended: small/medium Good with women: yes Good with men: yes Good with kids: yes Good with other dogs: Yes. He may get a little grumpy if the other dogs are acting foolish. Good with cats: yes House trained: Yes Crate trained: the only time I've had him in a crate is when he was healing. He sleeps in our beds, under the covers Energy level: med-low Can be handled/touched: Yes loves being held. Barker: he barks/talks when you rub your face on his and tell him he's a good boy!! He will bark at people for a few seconds just to announce their arrival. Flight risk: no but he loves to explore new areas Food aggressive: not really, I feed him separately and can reach my hand down while he is eating. He will sometimes stand over our other small dog and grumble letting her know he wants her food. Current food: diamond naturals for small dogs. But he will eat anything and doesn't have stomach issues. Walks on leash: Yes he walks great with a leash Leash reactive to people or dogs: No Rides well in car: Yes. He also loves to ride on our golf cart Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: not necessary if the adopter can walk/exercise him regularly Needs a home with another dog: no but he would enjoy a sibling. Can live in an apartment: yes Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sherlock (20260707-01), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
