My story

Bailey's journey here was unexpected-she was sent on transport without a rescue waiting for her. Thankfully, we were able to step in, and a wonderful foster opened their home to her on short notice. This sweet girl is happiest simply spending time with her people. She enjoys walks, playing outside, and just relaxing by your side. Bailey is non-destructive, so does not need to be crated, and can comfortably stay home alone for up to 4 hours. She initially had a bit of separation anxiety which has improved significantly with time and patience. She does not touch anything in the home when even tempting food that has been left out. Bailey sometimes reacts when she sees other dogs and may bark, but she is not aggressive toward them. With appropriate introductions, she can do very well with other dogs. In fact, she encountered a highly reactive dog who was barking at her, and she remained calm and chose to walk away. She is actually very good on leash and only pulls occasionally when she is curious about something or sees a squirrel. She is also wonderful with children, although her larger size means she can occasionally be a little clumsy so older children would be preferred. Bailey has come a long way and is ready for a loving, stable family who will continue to help her thrive. This gentle, affectionate girl has so much love to give-and she's more than ready for her happily ever after.
