My story

Sweet Summer has experienced more uncertainty than any little dog ever should. Her previous owner stepped in to rescue her when she learned Summer was being given away for free, hoping to keep her safe. Despite those good intentions, Summer's journey continued to be filled with changes, leaving this tiny girl searching for the one thing she's never truly had-a forever home where she'll never be let down again. Today, Summer is proving just how resilient and loving she is. She's an absolute little doll with the sweetest personality. She enjoys the perfect balance of companionship and independence. She'll happily snuggle beside you for some quality cuddle time, then quietly let herself outside through the doggy door to bask in the sunshine before trotting back inside to curl up on her favorite chair or spot on the couch. Summer gets along beautifully with other dogs and has loved playing with the small puppy in her foster home. When she's had enough fun, she simply wanders off for a cozy nap, showing off her calm and gentle nature. She's fully house trained in her foster home, using the doggy door and potty pads, and has not had any of the issues reported in a previous home. Sometimes all a dog needs is patience, understanding, and the right environment to truly thrive. Because Summer is such a tiny girl, she'll need a family committed to keeping her safe outdoors, as small dogs can be vulnerable to birds of prey. In return, you'll gain an incredibly loving, gentle companion who asks for so little and gives so much. Summer has been let down far too many times through no fault of her own.
