My story

This sweet little girl has all the wonderful qualities that make a lifelong best friend-she's affectionate, playful, intelligent, and absolutely adores being with people. From the moment you meet Bear, you'll be greeted by her wagging tail and happy personality. She loves attention, cuddles, and being close to her humans. Whether it's curling up beside you after a fun day or following you around the house, Bear simply enjoys being part of the family. Bear is wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with everyone she meets. She loves women, is friendly with men after a brief introduction, and is fantastic with children. Her playful nature makes her an excellent companion for kids who enjoy spending time outdoors or playing in the yard. She also loves other dogs and thrives in canine company, happily playing and making new friends wherever she goes. While she hasn't been tested with cats, her gentle, friendly personality suggests she may adapt well with proper introductions. Despite being a young puppy, Bear already has excellent manners. She is house-trained, using both outdoor potty breaks and indoor pee pads, and she is comfortable relaxing in her crate. She walks nicely on leash, comes when called, rides well in the car (with only occasional mild motion sickness), and knows commands like "sit" and "wait." She has no food aggression and is easy to handle, happily accepting cuddles, grooming, and affection. Bear has a medium-to-high energy level and loves playtime, adventures, and exploring the world. While a fenced yard would certainly be a wonderful bonus for her, she can also thrive in an apartment as long as she receives regular walks, exercise, and plenty of love. Bear would fit beautifully into many different homes. She can happily be an only dog soaking up all the attention or she would enjoy having another friendly dog to wrestle and play with. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a joyful heart, a playful spirit, and endless love to give, Bear may be the perfect addition to your family. She's ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with someone who will cherish her forever. Good with women: Yes, she is very affectionate and loves attention Good with men: Yes, she may bark briefly when meeting men for the first time, but quickly warms up and becomes very friendly and affectionate Good with kids: Yes, she is playful, energetic, and loves playing with children and other friends Good with other dogs: Yes, excellent, she gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions Good with cats: Not tested with cats; however, she is very social and friendly, so she would likely adapt well House trained: Yes, she is trained for both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty Crate trained: Yes, she is comfortable and calm in a crate Energy level: Medium/high Can be handled/touched: Yes, absolutely, she loves cuddles, attention, and being handled Barker: No, she may bark briefly when meeting new people but settles quickly Flight risk: No, she has good recall and comes when called; however, extra caution should always be taken in the beginning Food aggressive: No, she knows commands such as "sit" and "wait" and shows no food aggression Current food: Currently eats Iskhan kibble along with a variety of other dog foods. Walks on leash: Yes, she walks very well on a leash Leash reactive to people or dogs: No, she is generally uninterested and does not react to people or dogs while walking Rides well in car: Yes, she rides well in the car, although she experiences mild motion sickness occasionally Destructive: No, as a young puppy, she enjoys chewing and playing with toys, but this is age-appropriate behaviour Needs a home with a yard: Preferred, not required, but a yard would be a great bonus since she is energetic and loves to play Needs a home with another dog: Not required, she can do well as an only dog, but she would also enjoy having a canine friend to play with Can live in an apartment: Yes Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
