What rescuers discovered next was even more heartbreaking six more puppies hidden inside a hollow tree trunk, scared, hungry, and clinging to each other for comfort. After hours of careful rescue work, every single puppy was brought safely to freedom. And now? These once-forgotten babies are thriving, playful little bundles of fluff, mischief, and kisses. Their mama Ivy is incredibly intelligent, gentle, and devoted and her puppies are already showing those same smart Border Collie traits. Whether theyre tumbling over each other in play, chasing toys at lightning speed, or melting into your arms for cuddles after a busy puppy adventure, these babies are impossible not to fall in love with. He earned legendary status after orchestrating what we lovingly call The Great Escape, leading his siblings on an unauthorized expedition through an unpinned section of the sunroom. (He was extremely proud of himself.) This boy is bold, adventurous, and always one of the first to investigate something new. He plays hard, loves excitement, and greets people with enthusiasm. But beneath all that confidence is a sweet cuddle bug who loves affection and being close to his humans. Smudge will likely thrive with an active family ready for a smart puppy who will need play, enrichment, and lots of love.
