My story

Pobee was rescued in May 2024 after being placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter in South Korea. Even while he was still at the shelter, he was known for being such a bright and cheerful dog. When he first arrived at the rescue, he stayed next to the cat room, which is probably why he became comfortable around cats. Hes also strangely obsessed with cat toys and loves playing with them. Pobee is the type of dog who truly loves both people and other dogs. No matter what kind of dog he meets energetic, sensitive, shy, or even a little reactive he tends to adjust himself very well and get along with everyone. Although hes listed as a Jindo mix, we honestly think he may have some Labrador in him because his personality is incredibly friendly and loving. He does have a fairly active energy level, so he really enjoys spending time outside playing with friends. He also has very good recall, walks nicely with people, and naturally matches the pace of the person hes walking with. Honestly, I believe Pobee is the kind of dog who could adapt well and be loved in almost any family. Spayed/Neutered: yes Good with Women: yes Good with Men: yes, a little shy at first of unfamiliar men Good with Children: yes, older children recommended as his interactions with kids has been limited Good with Other Dogs: yes, very good. He especially enjoys being around dogs his own age. Good with Cats: yes House Training: in progress, he prefers outdoor potty and about 80% accurate with pee pads indoors Crate Trained: yes, he has not received formal crate training, but he recognizes the kennel as his own safe space and rests comfortably inside. Energy Level: medium to medium-high Can be Handled/touched: yes Barking: no, he may bark to let you know he wants to go outside, but otherwise he does not bark excessively. Flight risk: no; however, all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food Aggression: no Current Food: Araton Active / Pro Nutrition Prestige Dog Walks on leash: yes, he is comfortable with a leash. During walks, he may pull a bit at first but soon matches the handlers pace well. Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in car: yes, no fear or negative reaction to cars Destructive Behavior: no Needs a Home with a Yard: preferred Needs A Home with Another Dog: not required, but he would likely adapt even better if he had a dog friend in the home Can live in an apartment: possibly Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
