My story

Squeaky was found crying for help in an overgrown yard in San Juan, right near the road. The moment her rescuer got close… she hopped right into her hand. At just 4 weeks old, she was covered in fleas and ticks—but she’s a fighter. Within days, she learned to eat on her own and use the litter box like a pro. Now at 2 months old, she’s playful & full of personality, curious about EVERYTHING. Squeaky is independent but still loves a cuddle when she’s ready. Squeaky will need to be adopted into a home with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. If you are looking for a pair of Waggytail kittens - note this in your application! Squeaky will do well with any of our adoptable kittens. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the cat is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens.
