My story

This beautiful black lab mix has all the classic Lab charm—sleek coat, warm demeanor, and a love for being near her people—but with a unique twist: her adorable speckled feet hint at her cattle dog heritage, giving her a look that’s as special as her personality. She is incredibly sweet-natured, with a gentle, loving presence that makes everyone around her feel at ease. April isn’t just affectionate—she’s soulful. One look into her soft, caramel-colored eyes and you can feel the depth of her kindness and loyalty. Whether she’s resting by your side, following you from room to room, or simply offering quiet companionship, April has a way of making a house feel like home. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly, and she’s ready to share that love with a forever family. April will make someone an absolutely wonderful companion—steady, tender, and full of heart. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted.
