Hopper

My story

Hopper was found at 6 weeks old and he seemed to move around by hopping. We drove him to New Mexico a few months later where he underwent a surgery called Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis (JPS). It is a minimally invasive, preventive surgery for puppies (ideally 12–18 weeks old) with early signs of hip dysplasia or hip laxity. The purpose is to prevent or reduce the severity of hip dysplasia and arthritis later in life. He recovered well and is walking MORE but he still hops. He may never stop hopping. But honestly it adds to his charm. Whoever adopts him should be prepared that he could have future hip problems and should keep him on supplements to try to prevent this. Hopper is neutered and fully vaccinated. He is extremely friendly, affectionate and playful. He is crate trained and potty trained.
