Petey

My story

This is Petey! He’s a 5‑year‑old staffy with the sweetest smile and a big, goofy personality. He loves walks, chasing toys, treats, attention, and being right by your side. He’s a total lover who isn’t shy about sharing his “opinions.” Petey is potty and crate trained and only chews his bones, balls, and favorite stuffies (his chicken pirate is the top pick). He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile every day just by being himself. We adopted him a year and a half ago from the City of Grass Valley Animal Shelter and worked with a trainer — he walks nicely, just gets a little nervous around other dogs. With recent changes to our work schedules, we can’t give him the time and attention he truly thrives on. Petey does best as an only pet in a home with no dogs or cats, and he’s happiest in a loving home where he can be someone’s, or everyone's loyal shadow. We’re hoping to find someone who will welcome him as family and give him all the love he deserves.
