My story

Available for adoption after a 1–2 week foster-to-adopt “trial” Estimated age: 4–7 years
Sex: Neutered Male
Breed: Flame Point Siamese mix 📄 Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat
📞 Questions or to schedule a meet: 916-705-6884 Murph is a gently rambunctious love bug who truly works (snuggles) hard and plays hard. By day, you’ll find him curled up beside whatever you’re doing—or strategically positioning himself near the nearest source of warmth. Turn on a heater for your feet or an electric blanket for yourself? Cute idea, but those are actually for Murph. The fastest way to summon him is with a wand toy—his absolute favorite. If no one is available to play, he’ll happily entertain himself with a toy mouse, but interactive play is definitely his preference. After playtime, he’s all about cuddles. Murph loves pets and scratches (especially head and neck scratches) and has a sweet habit of cuddling with one little paw—or his head—resting on you. He runs a bit cold and is a big fan of snuggling under the covers during couch time. Murph gets along very well with other cats and remains calm even when others are feeling a little spicy. He’s a social, personable guy who enjoys being part of the action without being overwhelming. He does have some allergies and takes a daily pill, which he handles like a total champ—no fuss at all. Important things about Murph: * Eats Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach (Lamb & Rice) dry food and Weruva BFF Oh My Gravy canned food * Takes 5 mg of generic Zyrtec once daily * Prefers a quieter home; loud noises and young children wouldn’t be ideal * Not a big fan of dogs * FIV+ — but don’t let that scare you away! FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives. FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds, so Murph can safely live with other friendly, non-aggressive cats. We do recommend discussing any multi-cat household with your veterinarian as there is still some minor level of risk. If you’re looking for a warm, affectionate companion who will happily play with you and then curl up under the covers for a cozy evening, Murph might just be your perfect match.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Murph, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
