My story

🐶 Meet Bin! Breed: Pit Bull / Lab mix Sex: Male (Neutered) Age: Born 2017 Adoption area: MA & NH only 🚨 Urgently needs foster or foster-to-adopt Contact: Apply at www.survivortails.org (http://www.survivortails.org/) and email Katie at mailto:adoptions@survivortails.org (Survivor Tails is a licensed 501(c)3 rescue organization.) 💛 About Bin Sweet, gentle, and wonderfully affectionate — Bin is a true people-dog at heart. He has been a cherished family member since early 2018 after being adopted from a shelter, and he’s spent years proving just how loving and loyal he can be. Bin adores physical affection and is happiest when he’s being petted, hugged, or curled up beside (or on!) his people. Bedtime is his favorite part of the day because it means sleeping close to the humans he loves. He’s calm, easygoing, and has a naturally comforting presence that makes everyone feel at ease. This handsome boy is also very polite about his needs — when he has to go outside, he’ll let you know with a soft, high-pitched whine rather than barking or making a fuss. 🦴 Food Lover at Heart Bin loves to eat — food is one of his greatest joys and a wonderful motivator for bonding and training. He’s always happy to accept treats and will gladly work for snacks, affection, or praise. That being said, Bin would likely benefit from losing just a few pounds, which should be easily achievable with a healthy, meat-based diet and regular daily exercise. 🏡 Home Life Bin is fully house trained and well-mannered indoors. He rarely barks and will usually only speak up if he hears someone at the front door. He has lived in a home environment for many years and understands household routines well. He is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines, any needed vetting will be updated. 🐾 Social Skills Bin is a social, friendly boy who truly enjoys the company of others: • ✅ Dogs: Does well and enjoys playing with proper introductions. He can be a bit overbearing at times due to excitement and may need occasional correction. A resident dog who can offer polite corrections would be ideal. • 🐱 Cats: Unknown (has not lived with cats) • 👶 Children: Loves kids • 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 People: Extremely friendly with everyone He has no history of aggression or biting and has consistently shown himself to be a gentle, trustworthy companion. 🎆 Things to Know While Bin is generally calm and confident, loud noises such as fireworks can be scary for him. During these times, he does best with reassurance, a quiet space, and his favorite people nearby. We recommend a no-pull front-clip harness for walks while he continues to improve his leash manners. Overall, Bin would benefit from some additional structure and a refresher on basic training, which will help him continue to thrive. ❤️ Why Bin Needs You Bin is being re-homed through no fault of his own — his owner’s daughter has developed allergies. He urgently needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can continue to enjoy the stability, love, and companionship he’s always known. ❤️ In Summary Bin is a sweet, affectionate, people-oriented dog who thrives on companionship, routine, and close connection with his humans. He is friendly with dogs (especially with proper introductions), wonderful with children, and calm and well-mannered in the home. Bin is happiest when he’s cuddled up with his people, enjoying daily walks, and being part of a predictable routine. Like many dogs, he would benefit from a bit of continued structure — brushing up on his leash manners, maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine, and gentle guidance when his excitement gets the best of him. With consistency and love, Bin will continue to shine as the loyal, gentle companion he truly is. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate best friend who just wants to be close to his people and feel secure again, Bin may be the perfect match. 🐾💛

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
