My story

Meet Carter! Carter is a 3-year-old, 53lb pitbull mix with the sweetest heart and the silliest smile. This excited, loving boy has been waiting for over a year for someone to notice him—and he is so ready to finally find his forever person. Carter is the kind of dog who just wants to be someone’s best friend. He loves treats, hugs, toys, and anyone willing to appreciate his goofy, playful personality. He does great with other dogs (we recommend slow introductions) and would love a doggy sibling to romp around with—but he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. It’s hard to believe no one has scooped him up yet, but that just means his perfect match is still out there. Carter is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in his adoption fee—so he can travel straight to you!
