My story

    Meet Chikwitin Say it with us: Chik-wi-tin. It's a big name for a big cat — and trust us, this boy delivers on every bit of it. This handsome two-year-old brown tabby is bursting with personality, packed with love, and ready to fill your home with warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of cat. Chikwitin is the kind of cat that makes you forget you're a cat person — because he acts just like a dog. He'll hear the door open and come running to greet you, tail up and ready to welcome you home. He'll follow you from room to room, plant himself at your feet, and settle into your lap like he was always meant to be there. Because honestly? He probably was. This big, beautiful boy is friendly, playful, and endlessly affectionate. He loves being wherever you are — doesn't matter if you're working, watching TV, cooking dinner, or just existing. Chikwitin simply wants to be part of it. He's the kind of companion that makes a house feel like a home the moment he walks through the door. Chikwitin holds a special place in our hearts here at Fancy Cat Rescue — he was the longest-residing cat in the shelter before we stepped in to give him a second chance. How a cat this loving, this fun, and this magnificent waited so long is beyond us. But his time is now, and he is so ready.
