My story

Meet Tank! Age: 3 Years Old | Breed: American Bulldog Mix | Gender: Male Meet Tank — and yes, the name is a little misleading. While he may look tough on the outside, this big-hearted boy is really just a lovable, oversized lap dog who never got the memo about personal space. And honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way. Tank is a 3-year-old American Bulldog mix who was recently pulled from a shelter where he faced euthanasia. Now that he's been given a second chance, he is ready to find the forever family he deserves. From the moment you meet him, it's clear — this boy has nothing but love to give. Tank is laid-back, well-behaved, and people-obsessed in the best possible way. His favorite hobby? Following his humans from room to room like a fluffy, four-legged shadow. He's happiest when he's right by your side, whether that's on the couch, at your feet, or somehow trying to fit into your lap despite his size. He has a playful side that surfaces when the mood is right, making him a wonderful companion for kids who love an interactive pup. He has done great meeting other dogs, and with a slow and patient introduction, we believe he can coexist happily with cats too. Tank seems to have a particular soft spot for the men in the room, though don't worry — he's an equal opportunity snuggler who loves people of all kinds. "If you're looking for a loyal shadow, a snuggle buddy, and a gentle soul all rolled into one — Tank is your guy." Tank is a great fit for: ✅ Families with children ✅ Homes with other dogs ✅ Homes with cats (slow introduction recommended) ✅ Singles, couples, or families ✅ Anyone who loves a velcro dog! Tank beat the odds once — now he's ready to spend every day reminding you just how lucky you both are. Come meet him today! Adoption fee: $375, includes first 2 DAPP, bordetella, sterilized, heartworm test, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. Email us at  adoption@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued cats. Email us at dogadoptions@fancycats.org for general questions about our rescued dogs. See our calendar of adoption events at https://fancycats.org/(scroll towards bottom) You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteerApril 6, 2026, 9:13 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tank, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
