My story

Meet Maggie Maggie is an ~9-year-old, 13kg Cocker Spaniel who found herself at the shelter after her beloved human passed away. This sweet senior has shown incredible resilience and is now looking for her new family. At first, Maggie can be a little shy, but with patience and kindness, she quickly blossoms and will become your best friend. She loves nothing more than being close to her people - whether it’s curling up beside you on the sofa, enjoying a quiet hangout in the backyard, or joining in a playful game of chase. Maggie walks beautifully on leash, can navigate stairs, settles quickly in the car and has been friendly with both dogs and cats she’s met. She’s making progress learning to spend time alone, but will need some extra reassurance and support, especially as she transitions to a new home. At night, she rests on her own bed beside her foster mom, but she’d be just as happy snoozing in the bed with you, but she’ll need a little help getting up and down. She’s currently on a weight-loss journey and has already shed 4 pounds, which is helping her move with more ease. Maggie has been vet-checked, is on a urinary support diet, and has a few lipomas. Her medical records will be provided, and according to her veterinarian she’s officially “a very good girl.” Maggie is ready to bring love, warmth, and companionship into a home where she can feel safe and cherished.
