My story

Microchipped, DOB: Dec. 9, 2014 Looking for a calm, affectionate companion who loves being near you without always being in your lap? Meet Mildred, a loving senior lady with a heart full of purrs and personality. Mildred is the definition of sweet and gentle. She’s a calm presence around the house, content to lounge nearby and keep you company until she gets a burst of energy and zooms through the room like a kitten again! Her playful side comes out with wand toys and laser pointers, and just 15 minutes of playtime a couple of times a day keeps her perfectly happy. Though she’s typically quiet, Mildred will speak up when she’s hungry or craving attention, using her charming meows to get her point across. She’s not a fan of being picked up, but she’ll always be nearby, offering head boops, rubbing up against you, and soaking up pets, especially on her ears, chin, and around her face. She loves being brushed and will even roll onto her back for a little belly fluff session. Mildred is on a small pill every other day for suspected asthma, and she takes it easily when hidden in a bit of wet food or Churu. She’s also working on slimming down with a weight management kibble, something she’s very motivated to stick with thanks to her love of food. She’s a rockstar at the vet, calm in the car and perfectly fine in her carrier. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate best friend who wants nothing more than to be near you, Mildred is ready to bring her sweet, soothing presence into your home. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mildred, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
