My story

DOB: April 24, 2009 Meet Bear! Bear is a distinguished gentlemen at 16yrs old. He loves to sleep on his foster parent’s bed, in his cat tower and on the couch. He is the friendliest cat who loves being pet and being brushed. He purrs very easily and loves to laze around all day. Bear is on the heavier side weighing 17lbs, however he has been slowly losing weight. It’s a work in progress. Bear has been diagnosed with bladder stones, which are currently being managed with a urinary health diet. The stones are reducing in size, however there is a possibility he may require removal of the stones (cystotomy) in the future. Bear will need to remain on a strict urinary diet and monitored for any signs of urinary obstruction. He is doing great with ensuring he gets enough water intake by drinking out of his fountain. He has used his litter box on most occasions with a few accidents here and there (at his age we don't blame him, and the urinary health food has helped). He is very good about not scratching furniture and loves scratching his scratching mat. Overnight Bear sleeps quietly in bed or on the couch. Bear does great when he is left at home alone while I am at work. He’s the perfect gentleman and can’t wait to meet you. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
