Lacey

My story

Currently fostered in Texas Lacey is approximately four years old and weighs 12 1/2 pounds. She came to us after sitting in a shelter four hours north of here since May. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to adopt Lacey, even though she is such a great girl. She is super sweet , calm, well mannered, quiet and gentle. Great with other dogs, cats and people , I am assuming good with well mannered children. Lacey was nervous upon arriving but she acclimated quickly and was very happy to have beds and blankets, and attention. She is a big cuddler once she gets to know you ,that does not take long. She is still a little scared on leash and harness, so this is probably going to take some time and her people definitely need to know upon arrival. You will have to be extra careful with her, and that she does not get out of her harness. It would be a good idea when walking her 2 use 2 leashes on both collar and harness until she is a little more confident. She is doing pretty good, but when I tried to take her farther outside of the area she is used to, She did freak out a little bit. I am also worried if she heard loud noise or got startled that she would try to slip her harness and run off. A fenced yard would be amazing, however, she is not absolutely terrible on a leash and harness as you could see in the photos. It just takes her a little time to be confident in doing so and this will need some work. Aside from that she is just a perfect gem and will make a great addition to a wonderful family, she has been waiting a long time for that moment , a home, people that love her, a family that will forever be hers 💜 Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given.
