Hello! After going by orange collar for a few days, I've just become WIlly and it suits me perfectly. I'm an adorable German Shepherd puppy weighing just 8 pounds. After spending a few days with Dodger at his foster home, I caught a flight from Sacramento to San Jose on September 14th with a volunteer pilot from Pilots and Paws, along with Bones. I've settled into my foster home and was delighted to hang out with my littermates Dodger and Zarah at Bark in the Park San Jose on September 20th. I hear we're heading next to Pet Food Express Land Park location in Sacramento on September 27th from noon to 3 pm in celebration of the month long Pet Fair hosted by Pet Food Express across all their stores. My siblings, Zarah, Dodger, and I had a rough start after being abandoned on the streets, but a good bath, nutritious food, and lots of love have put me on the path to finding my forever home after a brief stay at the shelter! After being dewormed, I've shed some pesky worms that were holding me back from gaining weight, and I'm already feeling much better! I loved my temporary foster home in Sacramento, where I was showered with love and cuddles from the youngest resident female shepherd and our wonderful foster mom. She was so sweet to say I could tag along with Dodger so I didn't have to stay in the shelter by myself until a ride to San Jose was available. In my San Jose foster home, I'm living with two resident shepherds and will meet a few Corgis who are part of the extended family who visit often. I joined Dodger and other ShepHeroes adoptable dogs at Pet Food Express at Loehman's Plaza in Sacramento on Sunday as part of the month-long Adoption Fair hosted by Pet Food Express every September. I loved meeting all the people who love puppies, they cuddled us, gave us love, scratched our bellies. I napped and played too. Our humans will happily share information about efforts to help at-risk shepherds and how you can lend a hand when you visit us at Bark in the Park. You can find this and other upcoming ShepHeroes events here. I spend my days playing, napping, and learning from the two resident shepherds, who are teaching me about boundaries and personal space—essential lessons for a little guy like me. I’m a huge fan of toys and love to have fun, but I also cherish cuddle time. I sleep soundly through the night, dreaming of all the adventures we'll share. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, I might just be the perfect pup for you. Come meet me, and let's start making memories together! Have you checked out our YouTube channel? We would greatly appreciate your support by subscribing, liking, and commenting on the videos we share of our adoptable shepherds in action. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and our newest Threads account, where we post plenty of news and updates about our shepherds. As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always in need of fosters. There are many shepherds in our local shelters who require our help for a fresh start. Would you be willing to open your home and share part of your life to help these dogs find new families? You provide the love, and we will provide everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Complete this https://www.shepheoes.org/foster-form, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We appreciate your consideration. ##2518136##
