Granny Smith bonded w/ Gala

My story

Under the shade of a tree in a city park, Granny Smith was doing what young mothers do best—loving and protecting her kittens. She wasn’t alone. Beside her were two other mother cats, all three doing their best to care for their babies despite the world around them. They were abandoned, left to fend for themselves. No food. No safety. Just instinct, heart and the will to survive. In mid-June, these brave mamas and their young were discovered by police. There were twelve lives in total, all rescued together. Among them, Granny Smith and her kitten Gala, two souls whose bond has only deepened through everything they’ve endured. Now safe in our care, we’ve come to know Granny Smith as a gentle and devoted mother. She is young herself, with a tender spirit shaped by hardship. Her daughter Gala mirrors her softness. She's still learning, still opening up to the world and always looking to her mom for comfort and guidance. Because of their deep bond, Granny Smith and Gala must be adopted together. We won’t let them lose each other. This bonded pair needs: 🏡 A quiet, patient home where they can blossom at their own pace 💕 An adopter who understands that healing takes time and love 🐾 A safe, stable environment where they’ll never be left behind again These two are not flashy or bold. They won’t rush to greet you at the door—yet. But give them time, gentleness and your heart, and they will reward you with something rare and beautiful: their trust. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
