Say howdy to Dixie Lou, a charming black-and-white domestic shorthair with a heart as big as the back porch! This sweet gal might take a little time to warm up—she’s a tad shy at first—but once she trusts you, she’s a loyal and loving companion who’ll curl up right by your side. 🐱 Dixie Lou’s gentle, easygoing nature makes her perfect for a quiet home where she can mosey at her own pace. Think of her as the country belle of the cat world: sweet, soft-spoken, and full of love for anyone patient enough to earn her trust. Bring Dixie Lou home, and she’ll be your faithful sidekick, ready for cozy nights on the couch and slow Southern-style snuggles! ❤️🌾 Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
