My story

Teddy is a 12-year-old terrier mix with a soft tan-and-white coat and an even softer heart. This little guy is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace and comfort. Teddy has lived with another small dog before and could do well with a relaxed canine companion, but if you already have a dog at home, we’ll require a dog meet-and-greet to make sure everyone gets along. He would prefer a home with older kids (teens and up) who understand that a senior pup appreciates gentle care and a quieter environment. This handsome gentleman loves being outside, soaking up the fresh air, and just taking life at his own pace. He’s also a bit of a diva—he absolutely adores hugs and even likes being fed by hand (and we can’t blame him, he’s earned it!). Teddy is housetrained, though he’ll need a little reminder as he adjusts to a new routine in his forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who just wants a cozy spot to relax and a family to love him, Teddy may be your perfect match. 🐕💕 Come meet this charming grandpa and give him the retirement he truly deserves! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
