My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you ready for your new best friend? Monty is looking for his forever home and is ready to be adopted! Monty is about 9 months old and a Dachshund mix and weighs around 21 pounds. We think he might be mixed with a beagle or pinscher, but either way, this cutie is ready to steal your heart. Monty came from the City of Buffalo shelter due to overcrowding after being surrendered by his previous owner.    Monty loves to love and is the sweetest pup you will ever meet! Monty is super affectionate and friendly. He loves to be your center of attention, nudging your hand for pets or rolling on his back for rubs. He is very friendly and does not need long to warm up to anyone new. Monty is truly down for anything! Want to go to for a walk? He’s ready at the door, tail wagging! How about a ride? Sure, he loves to stick his head out the window. Or what about snuggling up on the couch for a movie night? Say less - Monty is ready to cuddle up right next to you for all the pets and belly rubs. You will fall right in love with this little lover boy. He loves his person so much that toys often come second. He will play or chew on bones if he wants, but he truly loves nothing more than to be by your side. Monty also loves to be outside. Whether that is enjoying the sunshine or going for strolls, he is down for whatever.   Monty is leash trained, crate trained, and house broken - a triple threat! He loves to follow around his foster mom, whether she is watching tv on the couch, making dinner, or enjoying the outside - he is right there just happy to tag along!  Monty gets along with other dogs and loves to play with another furry friend. He doesn't need another dog in the house, but he'd love to have one around if possible! He also gets along with cats.    Monty has been neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, and tested negative for heart worm. His adoption fee is $450.  We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10.
