My story

Male - 4 years - 73 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - FLHello! My name is Rex! I am a 4-year-old, 73 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained, though I am calm out of the crate as well so I do not need to be crated when left home alone. I do well with men, women, and children! I am a Velcro Dog with my foster mom, following her around and always by her side, though I will seek out affection and pets from everyone! I do well with visitors to our home after a proper introduction. I am friendly with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having canine siblings in my home, though I could also do well by myself. I love all toys and will spread them out through the yard and house—so that there is always one nearby when I’m ready to play! My squeaky lamb is my favorite though, and I will occasionally play fetch! I do have a strong prey drive, so I cannot go to a home with cats. I ride well in the car and walk well on leash. While I am not an overly high energy boy, I still love to join for any adventures! I have learned some basic commands such as sit, down, come, and leave it. I am extremely food motivated which is helpful for training but also something to keep in mind if there is food on the counters! I have also shown an affinity for water by jumping into my foster humans’ swimming pool on my own. MEDICAL NOTE: I came to Echo Dogs with severe ear infections in both of my ears. I have been seeing a dermatologist and my ears are now stable, but I will need lifelong monitoring through regular cleanings to maintain healthy ear canals.  I am a happy, affectionate boy ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could you be the family I’m searching for? Follow me on Facebook:  #EchoDogRex2025 For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.   Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required! To review our adoption procedure and submit an online application, visit: www.echodogs.org/procedureAugust 30, 2025, 6:33 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rex, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
