My story

Sequoia arrived at HART this summer with her six kittens and now that the kittens are weaned, she is ready for her forever home. This momma kitty's fur is soft, her tail is gorgeous, and she looks just like a fox from the back. She is a playful kitty and enjoys running around and playing chase with her kittens and also loves chasing a string dangled in front of her. Every morning Sequoia hunts around the house for a prized toy and brings it to the kittens with loud announcements while they gather around to see what mom brought them (the favorite being a large stuffed fish toy). She also likes to play by herself with catnip stuffed toys. With sweet little meows, Sequoia will seek your attention and will rub against you, purring and begging for under the chin and neck scratches. She likes to be petted but can sometimes get overstimulated with too much touching and suddenly hit with her paw (never with claws out) to say stop. She would be best with an experienced cat owner that can read her signs and know when to stop. She also would do best in a home without small children. If she is playing with a favorite toy, she may also bat your hand away from it if you reach for it. While she does not love being picked up, she has been getting a little more comfortable with it. And with time, she should relax even more.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
