My story

Kiki is a large, handsome, 4-year-old gentleman with gorgeous, short white fur and bright yellow eyes who came to HART in May 2025. Kiki is deaf, so new environments can be scary or overwhelming to him, and he is gradually learning how to adjust to shelter life. However, when his room is calm and low-activity, he enjoys coming up to people for pets and flopping on the ground next to them. We're excited to learn more about this cat as he opens up to us. For now, we know Kiki would do best in a calmer household with cat-savvy people who understand his needs and can safely accommodate a deaf cat. Since he tips the scales at almost 20 pounds, our Medical Team recommends gradual weight loss for Kiki through a sensible diet and gentle exercise.
