My story

I was so hungry and tired after days on the run, I went into a trap set for me on the very first day! Since then, I have been learning to live at BCAR with my volunteer friends and kennel mates. I am not sure yet about some of my kennel mates, but all of the volunteers helping me have been so nice. They let me do my favorite thing – hug them! They seem to love it and it makes me feel safe after being on my own. I am still teaching them things about me, but they are fast learners and should have more information soon. We are taking it one day at a time. I am very proud of how I am learning to walk on a leash. I get these things called “treats” when I do a good job, and they are the BEST! I have had my shots and am waiting on something called “getting tutored” I think they said. Hopefully I will get some treats for that too! Come say hi to me and let me give you a hug! All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please.
