My story

Wrigley, who's also known as Durbuy, just turned 4 months old. He's a littermate to Waterloo, aka Looie, Leuven, aka Louie, Brussels, and Herstal. Just like his littermates, Wrigley was adopted by a family excited to add him to their lives. But the resident five-year-old Rottie mix is unaccepting of the latest addition to her household, leading to significant challenges in integrating Wrigley. And Wrigley deserves to be part of a household where the entire family welcomes him. We're expecting Wrigley to be back with his foster family on Tuesday. Wrigley's a handsome tan pup with huge ears to grow into.  A happy, exuberant puppy who adores treats, he's thrilled to earn them. A smart boy, he already knows how to sit, down, with me, stay and watch me. Potty and crate trained, he sometimes needs a quick potty break once a night. He loves other dogs, climbing on agility gear, and exploring the yard. Wrigley is wiggly and fun-loving. He's happy to spend time with the resident dogs in his current ShepHeroes and in his prior Fosters & Paws foster homes and easily entertains himself in the backyard when solo. Born to a lovely Mal mama who has already been adopted, we suspect he's a Mal/GSD mix. On outings with his foster family, he's a rockstar. He greets dogs happily and is very friendly with people too. He completely ignores bikes, strollers that go by, and even checks out boats in the marina. After his excursions, Wrigley easily chills in the dog seat attached by a dog seat belt.  He's a snuggle pro and is working on mastering fetch.   Wrigley's living with one of our alum shepherds and a chihuahua mix ( both females) until he's adopted.  This litter was born in the care of Foster & Paws, a rescue that focuses on dogs who end up in shelters while pregnant. Since their focus is not breed-specific to shepherd mixes, we brought them on board to find them the best homes.  Have you checked out our YouTube channel? We would greatly appreciate your support by subscribing, liking, and commenting on the videos we share of our adoptable shepherds in action. You can also follow us on Instagram,  Facebook, and our newest Threads account, where we post plenty of news and updates about our shepherds. As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always in need of fosters. There are many shepherds in our local shelters who require our help for a fresh start. Would you be willing to open your home and share part of your life to help these dogs find new families? You provide the love, and we will provide everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Complete this https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We appreciate your consideration. ##2457160##
