My story

Meet this beautiful brindled baby, Nellie! She is a 9 month old hound lab mix who weighs 35 pounds and loves nothing more than laying in your lap. Her personality is just like her swirly coloring, the perfect swirl of sweet and sassy. After playtime she prefers a good belly rub and bully stick to chew on.  Nellie is a very loyal companion to her human and loves more than anything! She warms up quickly to her human but takes a bit longer with a canine companion...understandably she does not like them in her face but is otherwise is fine. Nellie also loves car rides and rolling around with her toys!  This smart girl is crate trained and potty trained and is just looking for the perfect home to call her own. If you want a gorgeous girl to share your adventures with, Nellie is ready to hop in your car  with you and take off to all the joy life has to offer! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
