My story

This sweet Lug-of-Goo is waiting for you!Maribel, a delightful companion, is eagerly waiting for her forever home! She is fully housebroken, gets along well with both dogs and people of all ages, and is ready to relax and enjoy life with her new family. Her current foster family describes her as `easy, loving, and loyal.` From the moment she joined them, she felt right at home. For Maribel, home truly is where her heart is! She behaves well in the car and is great on a leash. Maribel is currently training with a 50-foot-long lead in a fenced yard and is doing wonderfully. She tends to stay close to her humans and comes back inside voluntarily after doing her business. It’s hard to believe that this perfect dog was once taken to the vet with the intent to euthanize her due to a heartworm diagnosis over a year ago. Thankfully, the veterinarian saved her life. Maribel is now on the mend and has been completely treated for heartworm. She is getting healthier and stronger each day. She needs a caring family to help her lose the weight she gained during her treatment and to give her all the love she truly deserves.
